Who We Are

Built by People Who’ve Lived It

Release is a nationally recognized, New York-based behavioral healthcare community offering safe, private, and confidential support for substance use and mental health. Founded by a leader with lived experience in long-term recovery, we are committed to breaking the stigma around addiction, and mental health disorders. Since our start in 2017, our outcomes speak for themselves. We’ve witnessed hundreds of stories of recovery. We know this work changes lives, not just for the people we treat but the communities that surround them. Our team is a strong mix of licensed clinicians, experienced operators and individuals who have gone through their own struggles and come out on the other side. We combine clinical expertise with real-world understanding, strong community, and an environment built for sustainable change. Whether you’re seeking support for yourself or someone you love, you’ll find a team that listens, understands, and shows up.

Our Clinical Programs

Care That Adapts to Your Needs

Release offers multiple levels of clinical programs for substance use and mental health. Whether you need more structure or are stepping down to less intensive care, our programs are designed to meet you where you are and help you move forward. Treatment is led by licensed clinicians in collaboration with our Chief Medical Officer to ensure personalized and comprehensive support. Release Recovery Centers is Joint Commission accredited and OASAS-licensed. Release Austin’s Clinic is Joint Commission accredited and licensed by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.

  • Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) provides intensive, structured treatment, creating a balanced and flexible environment for those on their path to recovery. This program is ideal for clients who need more support than outpatient services can offer, but do not require 24/7 residential care.

  • Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Our Intensive Outpatient Program provides structured clinical care in a flexible format. The 12-week curriculum covers emotional regulation, self-awareness, relapse prevention, boundaries, and other essential tools for recovery and daily life.

  • Evening Intensive Outpatient Program

Designed for working professionals or individuals in need of even more flexibility, our trauma-informed evening program includes 12 hours of weekly on-site care. Treatment is led by licensed clinicians in collaboration with our Chief Medical Officer to ensure personalized and comprehensive support.

  • Outpatient Program (OP)

Our outpatient program is a step down from IOP. It includes fewer hours but maintains key weekly touchpoints like individual therapy, group therapy, medication management, and family support. This option is best for clients who are ready for more independence while staying connected to care.

Insurance - Clinical Programs Only

We Accept Most Major Insurance Companies

For Our Clinical Services Depending on Program and Location

We accept most major insurance companies for our clinical services, depending on program and location. Our Admissions team will verify your out-of-network insurance benefits to determine coverage, maximize your benefits, and ensure the process is as smooth as possible. Once eligibility is confirmed, they will guide you through the process by conducting a screening, assessing the appropriate level of care, and recommending the best course of action. The price will vary based on Individual’s Out of Network Insurance Benefits. Many plans include out-of-network benefits, which may cover all or part of treatment costs. Our team will help you navigate your coverage and maximize your benefits, making the process as smooth as possible. *Please note that our transitional living program nationwide is not covered by insurance and requires private pay.
